ENGAGEMENT
It was so much fun to photograph these two again, this time at Nichols Arboretum on the University of Michigan campus! I did their first round of engagement photos back in 2018 (take a look at that session here) when they first got engaged, and they wanted more taken now that it’s been a few years and we’re getting closer to their 2022 wedding date!! I just loved this idea and I believe you can never have too many photos of yourself and your partner!
In Michigan, the weather is very unpredictable and the fall season can be super rainy! This day started with a thunderstorm and was super cloudy but somehow we got so lucky and it cleared up right before the session. The sun actually came out and we got amazing sunset glow! I was so thrilled!
A key takeaway from this session: Don’t be afraid to dress up!! I promise you’ll be so happy with the result and I think it really elevates the look and style of your photos. If you and your partner aren’t super dressy people then I recommend doing an outfit change so you can do both a casual and a dressy outfit. This will also add more variety to your session and will give you more options in your final gallery! You only do engagement photos once (haha usually!) so I’m all for dressing to the nines!
