Hi! I’m Kandra.

I’m a Michigan based wedding photographer who is passionate about capturing authentic, fun, and completely in love couples!

Most days you’ll find me cuddled up with my Shih-tzu while reading a good book, catching up on my favorite TV shows, or of course, behind the camera! I love lattes, trying new restaurants, and spending summer evenings in my backyard garden.

I've always had a love for photography and capturing moments in my life!
When I was younger you’d see me running around with a classic Kodak disposable camera, and later I upgraded to a hot pink Canon Powershoot. Super serious stuff!

My love for photography grew even more later in high school when I got my first DSLR and was my school’s yearbook editor. Throughout college, I captured photos of my friends and finally got the chance to photograph an engagement session. That first chance at photographing a real couple was life changing and I was immediately just so fired up and passionate about capturing couples and their love story.

Many years and countless engagement sessions and weddings later and I’m still just as passionate about capturing the real and authentic love stories and I’d be absolutely honored to be a small part of yours.

MY APPROACH

Dedication towards my couples and their experience

I recognize that at the end of the day, the wedding experience is about my couples, not just the photos. My aim is to offer a positive and enjoyable experience that creates ease throughout the day. I strive to maintain a subtle presence while still offering necessary guidance through the key moments of the day. My goal is to serve my couples in whatever way they need beyond just taking photos.

By seamlessly alternating between natural shots and artfully arranged compositions, I capture the genuine emotions and spontaneous interactions alongside the meticulously curated, Pinterest-worthy moments. This approach allows me to document the natural, authentic moments as they unfold, while also crafting timeless images that capture the beauty and significance of the day.

Joyful, clean, and true-to-life style

My style is joyful and authentic, focusing on true-to-life colors to create classic and timeless images. I want my couples to be able to look at their photos in 10-20+ years and feel like they’ve stood the test of time.

Weddings are such an important and special moment a couple’s life and the day goes by so quickly! Once it’s all said and done, having the ability to look back on your amazing day is priceless! Making sure those memories are captured beautifully is really important to me and is something I'm really passionate about.

As a wedding photographer, I understand the great significance of my role in capturing one of the most important days in a couple's life. Each photo taken not only documents the day but also becomes a treasured keepsake that the couple can look back on for years to come. Being entrusted with such a responsibility is an honor, and I approach each wedding with the utmost care, ensuring that every moment is beautifully captured while also providing the most enjoyable experience possible.
