Laura + Josh | Michigan State Horticulture Gardens Engagement
Laura and Josh’s Michigan State Horticulture Gardens engagement session was such a joy to photograph! Tucked away on Michigan State’s campus, the gardens are full of quiet paths, blooming flowers, and vibrant greenery—it was the perfect setting for a summer evening celebrating their engagement.
We wandered through the gardens at golden hour, stopping to take photos in the prettiest little corners—stone pathways, tucked-away benches, and rows of vibrant plants that made every shot pop. Laura and Josh were so easy to photograph—relaxed, playful, and completely in the moment with each other. Their energy together is just so natural and sweet.
The session felt like a little escape, and the light that evening was unreal. The soft, golden glow filtered through the trees just right, giving us the dreamiest light for those intimate, candid moments that I love capturing. These two couldn’t stop smiling (and neither could I, honestly).
What made this session even more special is that this is also their wedding venue! Seeing how gorgeous the scenery was and how many amazing spots there are for photos makes me extra excited to capture their wedding day!
